I have NO doubt that I heard crowing this morning! This morning, before I let the "girlies" out, I heard a distinct " EERRRRR eeeerrrr eeerrr!" TWICE!
After they were turned out, I was at the kitchen window, and heard it FOUR more times! I had the binoculars, but they were all under the coop.
I HAVE A ROOSTER!
I haven't heard it since, but there's no doubt that I heard crowing. "Daphne," the Silky, has a nice comb going on, and streamers. I have to grab him/her, and take some nice photos and post them for more opinions, although the general consensus has been that "Daphne" is in all actuality "Fred."
But, I also have an alleged Rhode Island Red pullet. She has gotten SO aggressive! And her comb and wattles are HUGE as compared to her "sister." I have photos of them, but haven't posted them as of yet.
