Hi! New to raising chicks, they are 1 week old today, and I've read that crushed oatmeal (processed in my spice grinder) added to their feed helps with the runny poop. If all else, they LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the uncooked oatmeal. Main question is how often can I feed this to them and do I need to add grit to help with digestion?

No idea but it would be interesting to try.

Yep, with any treat they need grit to help grind it up.

If you have already ground it with a spice grinder I think the grit is optional.

I use quick oats as a chick treat to train them to come to me. It works wonders. The only grit I add is a weed with root system and all to their brooder. Gotta love a cheep date..
