Ok - I have 2 BB's and I can NOT keep the feathers on their feet clean. I am getting worried and amlost trimmed the feathers today but was afraid they might bleed? Someone please tell me how to fix or clean this?

I tried the soaking her feet in water and trying to work it out but I cant get it all out!

I'd hold the chick in a dishpan of warm (baby bath warm) water and work either mild dishwashing liquid or mild shampoo through the area for at least five minutes. They don't look bad in your pics though. I'm using sand with my feather footed babies, and it really seems to help keep their foot feathers clean.

I wash my frizzle's feet feathers with shampoo. Just take an old tooth brush and scrub the shampoo and the feathers. Thats also how I clean older chickens feet to keep bumble foot at bay.
