Crusty gray patches on rooster comb

My little bantam rooster has this crusty, gray, puffy patches on his comb. He’s young, just about finished filling in his feathers. He’s housed with a little hen, but the two of them are isolated from the rest of my birds (because they’re so small). I haven’t found any sign of mites. I don’t think it looks like pox, though I’m open to being told I’m wrong. It isn’t frostbite (were in Florida). It is possible it’s from being nipped at. He was housed with two other bantam roosters previously, however, they’ve been gone for several weeks now. Any thoughts would be so appreciated!

Look like possible Dry Pox or pecking ... Have you seen him being peck at? If not I'm incline to think Pox. You may want to update your profile so we have an idea as to your location, what part of FL? Have you seen/heard any mosquitos? Are there any standing water in the area?

Oh! Good advice about the profile! I’ll do that today. I haven’t seen him being pecked at. I’m in the Tampa area and we definitely have mosquitos. There’s inevitably standing water around for a period after the rains, though nothing he should have direct access to. They do have a self-filling waterer, though, that does get icky very fast when it’s really hot and humid. I’ve seen it start to turn green inside after one day, so I try to keep on it, but I do miss it occasionally. It’s suspended off the ground, but they still somehow fill it with dirt, so that doesn’t help (we’re still troubleshooting that. This is our first time having birds this small, somehow our big chicken solutions haven’t all worked as well when scaled down. Who knew ‍) thank you so much for your input.

My daughter & family live in Lithia ... Yes it does get very hot, humid & rainy, very similar to here. I'm thinking it's more Dry Pox than anything, it'll run it's course but keep an eye on him. His CUTE!

Are there any ponds, planters, wooded area? Standing water could be at your neighbor's or surrounding areas.

You may want to look into the "horizontal nipples" ... No more dirty water (can't help with the green algae, have the same issue here) nor spills. You can read up on it, search horizontal nipples, there's also the vertical nipples but have read where they leak. You maybe able to find them at the feed store but my "go to" is Amazon.
