If you are in the Twin Cities metro area, we need your support!

The Crystal City Council will be voting on allowing back yard chickens. Until now, the policy was "don't ask, don't tell" believe it or not.

The vote is being forced/rushed by a cranky neighbor who has never seen my chickens or my yard and is making up stories. The council members, local newspaper and tv news are all coming to interview me this week.

We chicken lovers in Crystal NEED all the support we can get!

Please call or email your city council member if you live in Crystal.

If you live beyond our neck of the woods, we can use your prayers and positive vibes!

Just to follow up. It did pass on August 20, 2013. We are now allowed to have up to four hens (no roosters) with structure and setback restrictions. There are no permit requirements or fees thus far. I'm quite certain this will change should the city receive nuisance complaint which are sure to happen.
