Flat out spectacular dk bantam hen. Since I don't have any good pictures, not sure these are worth contributing. But promoting Cornish is a good thing. :)

I just love Cornish. I got a couple on a whim a couple years ago and they stole my heart with their attitudes. They were just hatchery darks but they're like chicken bulldogs that never look for trouble but wow they'll sure finish it if anyone offers a fight.

Yes I have a factory (Ideal)<<ironic I know "ain't it" Dark Cornish rooster I named him Bart after the Sheriff on Blazing Saddles.(for obvious reasoning) He is a cool dude too and you are right no problems from him either but he can handle all the rest of the bull hockey in the flock for sure. I think his stature merely intimidates the others, they know he can take care of business in powerful hurry..

they are the most interesting little bird....they do remind me of bull dogs..I always tour their class at the shows..I remember the first time I saw one long time ago I thought..what a funny little eye they have..I wonder..are they an ancient breed? it looks like there is malasian in there? Im just wondering what combination of birds it took to make them...I guess I could read the standard bred cornish book above...think I will go read it online...maybe the first few chapters would explain that to me..a fred boher wrote it 1922 or it was published 1922

Ah, lovely!

Can anyone post pictures of their spangled? Or any more Cornish?. Also, what makes the Cornish so hard to raise?

Not sure you would consider it spangled exactly, and not the best shots, but a couple chicks that turned up among my standard blue laced red project chicks. Had a couple pullets that showed a little flecking last year, but not as much as these youngsters are showing.
