The one in the back looked like a Hatchery RIR/production red to me. Sometimes chickens just lay darker colored eggs. I have some breeds that aren't 'supposed' to lay dark eggs that do, and some that aren't 'supposed' to lay light brown/cream eggs that do....It just depends on the individual hen. As long as it's the same color it's supposed to be(I.e. supposed to lay brown and lays brown, even if the shade is lighter/darker than normal), what does it matter?I"m pretty sure that's a Rock. I see her and the Easter egger. Can you get a pic of the bird in the back? I'm wondering if she's a Welsummer.
