Cuckoo marans

I have a cuckoo maran she is a very good and frequent layer. However she does not lay dark brown eggs but light brown eggs with chocolate spots. Very unusual. Some have said that they are quite flighty but I find mine is relatively docile.

Yes, Iris has been laying med dark eggs with chocolate spots intermittently. She's an awesome layer and very talkative! Consistently 6/week. She is flighty, but I attribute this to her pre-rescue background hoarder life.

The completely chocolate brown eggs must be to do with the breeder or genetics.I wouldn't change her eggs if I could. I prefer them spotty.

I have a 3 and a half week old chick who appears to be a Cuckoo Marans, but she has a grayish look to her legs. I have read that their legs are usually white or pink. They are kind of pink, but with a bit of gray too. Her feet are definitely pink though. Can anyone tell me if it is possible for Cuckoo Marans to have legs like this?

Hmmm...she does look a lot like my girl except mine is still just a baby. I don't see any of the grayish tint to her legs like mine has though. It's not a solid gray...just kind of a shading over the pink. I actually took a pic of her and one of just her legs a few minutes ago. I will post the pics after my phone finishes charging. I am pretty sure she is Cuckoo Marans though. Your girl is very pretty.

Ok. Here are some pics of Agatha. Please let me know if you think she is Cuckoo Marans... or if not what you all think she is. She is about 3 and a half weeks old now.
This one is only her feet.
Here is one of when she was only a week or so old.
Let me know what you all think.
