I have only noticed in a couple of birds where the barring is less distinctive as they got older, most have stayed the same.
I have read that it will be genitically impossiable to breed out the pink skin and red combs. While I do not fully understand gentics, and I do not believe everything I read, I have excepted these "flaws" and adore this color silkie, especially the light eyes. I wonder if anyone has achieved uniform black skin, mulberry combs and dark eyes?
