Good news, the parents of student who gave me the eggs agreed to take them.
However, right as we were dismissing, the little pipped egg decided it was time to start hatching in ernst.
The mom waited around for about 45 min, hoping it would finish zipping, but it hasn't made much progress.
She taking her kiddos to lunch right now for about an hour or so, and then coming back. We are bothing hoping the little guy is out by then.
However, in the case it is not out- I need advice on how to transport the eggs in the bator to her house. I know I should set the one that isn't hatching in a egg carton, and cover the bator with blankets. Should I go ahead and set the hatching one in carton too? Do I need to do anything to proctect the hatching one against shrink wrap? She lives about 15 min away from school, so we are hoping for the best.
I need some advice on the ASAP, before the next hour.
I swear this chickie needs to be named slow-poke.
