Culling Baby Chicks

Honestly, it would have just been better to have broken her neck to begin with.

That's what I was thinking. I have had to cull a few small animals in my years, and I always use the fastest, most efficient method. That is usually breaking the neck or chopping it off.

Sorry for your experience, but you will get over it and if faced with a similar situation in the future, you will be stronger next time. That is good for both you and the animal that you have to cull. It's a responsibility we all should assume when we decide to care for these animals. I find it easier for me to slit there throat and let the blood drain. Sorry you went through what seems like a traumatic experience. But eventually you should chalk it up as lesson learned and move forward. It's just how it is with keeping chickens or any small animals.
