5 days ago a fox got in my yard and grabbed a free ranging rooster. We chased it down and it dropped our bird. Chicken seemed to just have maybe torn up feathers but otherwise acted totally normal. Last night (4 nights after attack), everything still seemed normal. This morning, his wing is dangling. I'm surprised an injury took 5 days to show up, or are my other roosters acting aggressively? Anyway, they're 14+ weeks, getting a little more aggressive, especially since they're all on lockdown now, and we were planning on culling soon anyway. Can we cull this chicken for meat still? Do we need to let the wing heal first by wrapping it to the body? Total chicken newbie here and I've already cried enough over the situation so please be kind with your judgements on my failures as a chicken mama. Thank you!
