Nice weather, Karen. It was 25 when I got up this morning!!! Frost on the pumpkin!!!

Frozen water dishes in the chicken run. In fact, I think I will get a second heated waterer for the exterior portion of the coop and make them go inside for water through the winter. I'm not sure I want to spend another winter changing out their water dishes a few times every day.

Actually, I'm drinking decaf this morning. :sick We'll see if it makes a difference.

Sounds so nice to be potting plants, @CapricornFarm. We just took all ours down and trimmed them way back for winter. They are in the greenhouse now. It was 25 degrees yesterday; warmed up to 35 this morning.

Turns out we have additional heated water dishes on hand. We set one up in the outside portion of the coop, so hopefully they will start using it. It has the little red cups. Not sure all my hens know about little red cups, so we'll see how it goes.
