I spent the day running back and forth to the veterinarian's office. One of the feral kitties in the neighborhood had a terribly infected eye, so we caught him and brought him in. Cost me $2500 and him an eye, but we are all back home recovering now. He is scared to death being inside a house. He has never been in one before. I hope we can get him so comfortable that he will never want to leave again. He's better off inside with only one eye. Honestly, he's better off inside anyway, but this is what happens when country folks decide they need outdoor mouse hunting cats and then move away leaving them to fend for themselves. We are softies, so we put food out for them. I guess that makes them our responsibility now, so here we are.

Good morning sour. Thanks for the coffee! Everyone wants to get rich from every patient! Animal care is as bad price wise as human health care! I really don`t have that much faith in healthcare in this country anymore. My last emergency room visit for a kidney stone was a big joke! Way to long to go into but it took 4 different hospitals to tell me everything that was wrong! Sorry for the venting!

Oh sorry about that! I also had difficulty with getting the right diagnosis and treatment at hospitals. Now I won't go to one unless it's OHSU and that is an hour and a half away in Portland. Worth the drive.
