They were from a breeder that is a friend of mine. She gave me the eggs so I have zero complaints but I think it's 8 of the original 12 that had less than desirable traits. So I got a wild hair and decided to repair the crack with wax and set all of the eggs regardless of condition and experiment to see how the hatch goes! So far I only have 1 infertile egg and the remaining 11 made it to lockdown. I won't lie, I don't have high hopes for the cracked egg because the air cell stopped growing after lockdown and didn't draw down like the others for hatch. The wax must have prevented proper weight loss and effected the gas exchange. We'll know soon enough though! :fl

They're all Olive Eggers, the oblong eggs appear to be from the same hen but the one I affectionately named "Rocket" was the most narrow but it's pipped, so we're half way there!
