Nice to get out! Did I hear Florida is relaxing the quarantine rules? How is your DH now?

The mayor of Jacksonville opened the beaches for two different times during the day.

My husband is doing ok. I hope he is realizing that he is not thirty any more. He had a good day yesterday and today he is uptight with his roommate. He is hoping to come home Friday, but I don't know for sure.

What do you think about the beaches being reopened? I saw some pictures, looked like a lot of people were hanging out at them. Maybe too many people? I think reopening things scares me more than going broke staying home.

Lucy was the only one left from my first flock of 6 chickens 4 years ago. She is my avatar. When I went out to give out a few treats this morning, I wasn't greeted by my ever ready little Lucy. She passed away in the night. RIP sweet Lucy.

She wasn't sick, and wasn't even the one showing suspicious signs of coccidiosis when I treated them all. She was her peppy normal self yesterday and went to bed at her regular time. She just didn't wake up this morning. She will be so missed!!!

I could trust her to integrate chicks for me. I could put her with a sick hen for company. She had her own coop, which she was currently sharing with Surly, the broody mama to be, and Queen Bee while she is trying to get back to health. But, it was always her coop.

Val, I'm so so sorry to hear Lucy passed. I'm sure she lived a wonderful life Being attached to animals is a blessing but makes it so difficult when it's their time to go.

I hope you have some new babies soon!! Be sure to share lots of pictures!

Heat wave
I'm cold brewing green and black teas today, help yourself! The white is still my all time favorite. We're expecting 100* temps by this weekend so we'll go through it.

Spent yesterday helping the family brand their calves. Most of the family was there so made for a really fun time!

Gorgeous, sunny day! I've been outside pulling weeds and throughly enjoying the warm weather. I see 70s in our forecast for the days to come Spring is finally here!

Yup. It's a little early this year. 3 months are typically 100* or higher here, we're skipping the 90s apparently.
