Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Evening everyone!

What a 'wacked out day'! First my eggs were shipped upside down, laying on the air cells:mad: then I traveled 100 miles to go do the testing that I contracted to do...they said they'd be back up and running tonight...well, they weren't, also told me they would get ahold of me if that was changed...they didn't. :rantThey moved it to May 6th now, I'll make a call this time before I drive all that way again, for nothing! ;)

Other than that everything is 'hunky dory' :hmm
Cooking a T-bone steak, bake potatoe with butter, sour cream and green onion tops. Romain salad, French bread and a healthy glass of Wild Turkey!

Hope everyone has a pleasant evening!

I would love the t-bone and baked potato but likely wouldn't have any better luck with eating it. Over a week now and about the only things I have tolerated are pistachio nuts - have one small serving left. Plus figured sliced canned pears in heavy syrup would settle me down. Know sugar/syrup is absorbed from the intestines not digested. Saved a lot of "iffy" new born pups giving them light sugar water, and slow warming until their digestive tract came on line.

The run I am building for half the hoop coop birds.

Looks like a great run! 100 sf for 4 hens is wonderful!

A perfect dinner to make up for that day!!! I sure hope the eggs are okay, but probably wouldn't hold out much hope. Well, that was negative. My experience with eggs too long with the USPS wasn't a good one, so I'm a bit pessimistic, but I do hope yours is a much better one!!! :fl

I must have missed something along the line here. Have you been sick DD? I hope you are well soon!!!

I don't hold too much hope for them...just really PO's me to have them shipped by someone who should know how to ship eggs...I mean these eggs were placed in an egg carton, flat side down!!!:barnieIt was abundantly clear that they did it on purpose. I think some peeps do that so nobody will hatch any of the birds, 'protecting their interests' and can say they were fertile, should have hatched...you didn't incubate them right, you don't know what your doing! ...yeah, right! :he

Well, that is just terrible. Why would they sell fertile eggs if they don't want them to hatch? How can you run a business that way? What site did they sell them through? You need to write a review and let people know that these folks either do not know what they are doing or are intentionally shipping unviable eggs. :rant

Sorry about the eggs Sean. Any chance you can recoup some of your investment?

Hey, I had the same dinner you did, minus the steak, potato and bread. I had a salad

Good morning Ya’ll! Stella wanted to say hi! It’s a beautiful morning! What’s on the agenda today? I’m working right now ( home health nurse) but when I get home I plan to build a new brooder for my chicks that hopefully hatch in a few weeks. Hope everyone has a great day!
