Going to try and get some seeds planted today, gourds, sage, sweetgrass, begonia tubers.

I'm debating if it's too early for coffee. Only 4:30. Should I get up or roll over? Mad Hatter is crowing. I think he is saying "Get out of bed!"

Having someone out to give us an estimate on a new heat pump. Ours is old. Don't want to wait until it doesn't work anymore. That would happen on the hottest day of the year, don't you know.

I have a heat pump...cost a little more to install but saves lots $$$ in the long run. Last month was $82 electric bill and my home is all electric. The AC has been running since the end of February, the bill for February was $102...partly due to both heat and AC running.

We have one now, but it's the old style that uses freon. Needs to be replaced. And I'm hoping the new one will be quieter. We also have a very large Traeger wood furnace in the basement that is hooked up to the same system for central air. I think we're getting that disconnected. We would never use it. The original owners of this house used it all the time. Get this. They would cut down a tree, chop the wood, haul it downstairs and then haul the ash upstairs. She said when all was said and done, they would have handled the wood 7 times. LOL We kind of like turning on the electric heat or a/c using the thermostat.

I did finally go back to bed. We had a thunderstorm last night and it shook poor Opie up so bad he was crying and walking all over me while I was trying to sleep. Of course, I got up and he went to sleep just fine!
