I found out what the name JAFFAR (my rooster's ) means in Arabic: Small stream of water, or Holy stream. That name is popular for boys in the Mid East lately. It sure fits my little Cochin Rooster!

It was the best ever! We've been apart longer than this many times, but not because one of us was in the hospital facing a cancer diagnosis alone. But, hey, we got through it, and isn't it great that we can have visitors again in some of the hospitals? Now if I had Covid, that would be a different story. No one anywhere near me in this very large hospital has that.

Pictures from a fire that started the other day near our house and cow pasture. The wind was blowing so bad we weren't sure they would ever get it undercontrol. Fortunately, we got some rain yesterday so that helped a ton. We shouldn't be having fires in June
