Well busy turns out bread in the oven two loaves ... Local gal want peeps from me put silkie in their tractor so can take the oldest know cockerel from pullets there ..
Took a long shower but 3 coops cleaned now bread well it is yeast but like to make it

Surly Girl hatched two babies. She is so proud. On is obviously from a different mother. She doesn’t care at all. She brooded it and it’s hers.

I moved Louie Louie to the big run so he wouldn’t hurt the babies and he was stretching his neck trying to get close to them through the fence. Both Surly and I were watching very closely.

She was 5 minutes late. I'd get docked points for that. I just expect the same behavior from those in charge as they expect from me. I think that's just mutual respect.

Those are absolutely the cutest chicks. How big are they? They look about 2 inches from head to butt.

OMG!!! How cute are they??? I picked up one of my babies today because she was inside the coop while mom and sibling were outside and she was panicking. I set her down near momma and she was fine. Cute really. Chicks are just so much fun, especially when the momma is raising them.

Thanks! Surly did most of the work. We are both in love with the littles.

I did put Louie Louie in the big coop overnight. It was quiet until it was time to come out. He might need to hang back until all the girls are out. I guess they are teaching him it's ladies first! Honestly, I am keeping a close eye on that situation. It's very hard to integrate one 3 month chick, especially when it's a cockerel. Mad Hatter has a run and coop, Surly has a run and coop, and Pippi has a run and coop. Mad hangs with Pippi and the girls during the day. I mean, I'm out of spaces!!! Somehow I need to find a place for Louie Louie. And we aren't even finished painting the latest coop!!!
