Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

I taught myself how to do pretty much everything. I had to in order to survive in this area. The very first house I bought got catastrophically flooded twice. I had gotten laid off from my job several months before the company finally went bankrupt and I had 3 houses at the time. I started flipping them and fell in love with the entire process.

I'm quick to consult YouTube and Google to look up how to fix things myself but there are some things I'm just not brave enough to do. Electrical being one of them, unless it's a simple replacement without too much wiring. I think I'm finally comfortable enough to replace the capacitor on our HVAC without supervision, lol. It's impressive what you're able to do!

You're likely right, I still had to jest, lol. ;)
I'm going by the discussion regarding how close/far OC is from SD. When I was growing up, the towns between the two counties weren't built up like they are now. I had a friend get married and move to Point Loma. It was out in the middle of nowhere! As an adult there were times when I lived in one county and worked in the other, so I know exactly how far they are apart.

When I was a kid in OC, I walked through orange groves to take the short cut to school. :D

How wonderful!! I did walk to school occasionally but I wasn't graced with orange groves, just lots of housing. lol, We did have an epic Meyer Lemon tree in the backyard though. They were the size of grapefruits. As a matter of fact, when we moved from that house and I started looking for lemons in the grocery store I couldn't find them! I actually asked an associate and they looked at me like I was crazy, which is a normal reaction to someone that is holding a grapefruit and asking where the lemons are. :lau
