The wind has kicked up here. I think I just heard a big branch break, but I never heard it land.Is it still hanging on the tree? Still a little early to go out and check on things.

So far we have never had a branch fall on something or someone and do damage. That's all we worry about. I'm not anxious to make my rounds on windy mornings.

We have a lot of trees, and they are huge. We usually can't tell where the branch came from, even if we know which tree.
We have a lot of dead trees too, but I don't have to walk out into the forest. It's the live trees in the yard I'm worried about. I'm watching branches whip about. I have had 20' branches fall in the yard. Luckily, the trees between me and the chicken run haven't lost any large branches.
Oh man, I need to go on a diet. Weight packs on during winter.

Me too! On one this week! Lost the 5 lbs I put on over winter, now to start on the next 20 lbs.
