I've read that a lot of places with high heat could have more days in the extreme range now. Not good! It has made me consider not keeping chickens because I hate to see them suffer in the heat.

I expect it to be much like last year, in triple digits. We're in a 'abnormal drought' but you certainly can't tell it...green as a gourd, here!

Until the cracks come back in summer! Same here, we're in a drought and we've got a fire already. The rain made a lot of fuel.
