Beautiful Hydrangea, Chickie! The color is very nice.

Another pretty and sunny day here. I'll be spending some time watching chickens. Time to let Lucy 2 meet the rest of the flock. Turns out Lucy 2 doesn't look like Lucy, who was a BO, at all. She is definitely a RIR. Who stuck that egg under Surly?

Speaking of Surly, she is broody again, but her eggs aren't fertile. I'll open the gates between the runs and perhaps that will be remedied.

Girlie Girl and Gertie are broody too, but they keep switching what eggs they are sitting on, according to DH. I'm not sure what's up with that or how it will turn out. Girlie Girl finally gave up on 4 eggs, so DH got rid of those. Now she is on others, but then the two girls switch places. Is this normal? Are they confused? Today I'll go in and take a look at them, but not sure what I can see.

I finally got to see them all for a bit last night. First time in a month!!! I have missed them!!!

I have spent most of the day with the chickens. Been cleaning water dishes, and watching while trying to integrate Lucy 2 with the flock. She spent most of the day hiding out in her coop with her mother, Surly, who is broody again. They weren't really mean to her, but were definitely letting her know her place. But, Surly Girl is doing that too, so it is time for integration. Little by little we'll get it done.

I am! Just went to ER for the day. I am definitely on the road to healing now. Just wish I could get my energy up to the level of my ambition.
