Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Three of my EE's turned out to be the light brahmas.. I told the guy and he said.. 'Oh WOW!' One that was supposed to be a Beilefelder turned out to be an EE named Geronimo because of the way he would jump back in to the brooder from the screen above. Two other EE's turned out to be boys (of course, just my luck), and are named Greystoke and Braveheart. BO's are Bo and Bonny. The one LB that is definitely a cockerel is named Lone Silver (maybe the white horse he rode, who knows?). Haven't named his two ladies yet. Not sure if the one Beilefelder is a gal or a guy so kind of waiting on naming that one, along with the two LB ladies. Mara (BlackCM) and Maranantha (BlueCM) who is the 'house bird'. Does that make 11 juveniles? Haven't even begun to name the 3 week old chicks in the brooder. I sure did get lucky with that lot. Everyone of them attacks me for chest rubs already.. Well, almost. There's one (surely a cockerel as he is very slow feathering) is just now warming up to the idea that chest rubs are kinda ok. I'm really digging the 3 week olds as they were my very first hatch. Some are actually barred, while some are more speckled like a coo coo.
You will soon be up at night trying to figure out how to house and/or separate your cockerels too! :lau I love the cockerels and roosters, but they do add a dimension of complexity to my husbandry practices.

Alllllllllllllmost there! Think I saw a tiny hairline crack in the last egg.. I hope that's what I saw because it wasn't there earlier... #4 is not quite as far along as #3 so it will be a while yet.
