Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Hi everyone!!! Sorry I've been MIA!!! Crazy days, and I got a bit overwhelmed.

For one thing, we woke up a few days ago and the kitchen was flooded. The tube to the ice maker fell off. We put hardwood down last year and it came up immediately. Saving it to repurpose and then spent several days looking for a tile we like. Nothing like having life get upended in a day. That and a few other challenges sort of put me over the edge with no time to spare.

That's a bad deal. Water and flooring never mix. Sorry you had to go through that.

I think it happened when hubby replaced the water valve. We think it knocked the tube loose, but not off, and then something, who knows what, caused it to slip the rest of the way. What a pain. Anyway, floor tile has been ordered...no more hardwood in the kitchen!!! After that we'll pick out some granite for the counters and a tile for the backsplash. A lot of bother, but it will be nice when it's done.

Sounds like a nice transition.

What a pain in the but. Sounds like a great plan for the fix.

Afternoon all! Anyone up for a mid-day cup o joe or perhaps Chai tea?

I kept the chickens in today because it was supposed to start raining at 9am. It's nearly noon and still no rain and even patches of blue sky, so I just let them out into the big run. Now I suppose we'll get those thunderstorms that were supposed to start 2 hours ago. I know they'll go in on their own during the rain, but I don't want them splashing through the mud puddles afterward, so hope it's a light one.
