Well I found went out to scrape tables look for eggs
Richard had not removed the boards I cover nest boxes with to darn hot for them to go lay now,, I will give them a pass if not many eggs

Hey I hear that. I am getting about 4 or 5 eggs out of 19 hens!!! I do have a couple broodies. No telling how many eggs are under them. But seriously, I have 5 older hens, so I don't expect a lot out of them. An egg here and there. But they have been given a refuge to live out their lives.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee!

I did end up getting 8 eggs yesterday, but it's obvious they are taking it easy in the heat. We turn the sprinklers on for them and they seem to like that. Anything to keep them from overheating. Our birds are not used to the high temperatures at all. Neither are the humans!!! I'm still very thankful it's not raining.
