Rose, Blanche and Dorothy, my 12 week old chicks, are apparently Rose, BLAINE, and Dorothy. :hmm

I haven't been able to respond to my emails since Tuesday in regards to a hitch in my information.

After I finally got a message to BYC support they fixed my account and now I'm good.

Good morning one and all!

Tea is ready.

Temperature is in the 70s and sunny.

Have a great day!

Good morning to you both! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!! (Well, rain expected here.) Thanks for the coffee, George!

Karen, welcome back. The young birds are Buff Orpingtons. That's my favorite breed, although I keep a few others too.

I am hoping to keep this young cockerel. Since he is growing up with Cooper it might work out. Roosters are more tolerant of new roosters if they grow up in their flock. I have 14 hens now, with the two little pullets, and may have more coming under my broody. So that many hens can accommodate two roosters. In fact, I've had problems with my broodies sitting on unfertilized eggs this last couple years because one rooster can't handle them all. So, maybe this will work out. :fl

However, if the broody raises another cockerel, we will have a problem. :th
