Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Hi, I am still alive, but very busy. Still trying to get potatoes all planted. Tedious work, because I no longer have a tiller . Therefore, I have to hand dig the soil, break up clumps and add sand and manure. Plus pick peas, water, and take care of the livestock. It has been very dry, so even weeds are wilted.
Still waiting on my lead goat, Misty to kid. She is huge! View attachment 3862630
Could she have more than one? I know nothing about goats. Do they ever have twins?

And my GSD, Mini, contracted a tick borne disease. So she visited the vet and is on medication for that. Nearly $300 for visit, meds, labs etc. Tomorrow I have to get up early and take the dogs for rabies vaccines.
Also was hoping to go on vacation, but the goats have not kidded. And after the kids are born, I need to handle them daily to make them friendly.
Vets are getting pricey. Ruby's (our dog) last visit was $700 because she is old and has a cough. We still don't know why she has the cough, could be heart issues. A month later and haven't heard about the blood test. Have called and sent email. A bit frustrating. I'd sure like to make her more comfortable. She doesn't cough all the time, but when she does it sounds like she is gagging. They took Xrays. She does have an enlarged heart. She is at least 12+, a rescue so we don't know how old for sure.

She is big.

Maybe you could get a small tiller, as I know how the ground is to do by hand.

How is your pottery coming along?
