As for me, I had a few very rough days caring for a neighbors dogs and chickens. Didn't know until I was "thrust" into this "obligation" that both dogs and chickens are very neglected and possibly abused, depending on your definition of that. Yes in mine. So rough. Took one animal to my vet knowing that the cost would be mine to bear. That's not upsetting me as much as leaving that animal in my neighbor's care. I have no idea what to do now. Nothing I can do I suppose, but my heart is broken.
