Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

I've suddenly started having a problem with deer eating my flowers. Most annoying.
DH just built a planter box with fencing around my hydrangeas today. Perhaps I should say, where they used to be. A deer had found her way around the great fencing job I did, (I'm not a fencer for sure) and ate every single flower, except one that is laying on the ground!!! What? You can't eat food that has touched the ground???

I bought a new hydrangea, which is on the deck, so I can harvest some flowers at the end of the summer. But, you know, new plants don't produce the big beautiful flowers that old ones produce.

Annoying is an understatement. Good thing they are such beautiful and graceful creatures.

What do you use the flowers for after you harvest them?

If you put them in a vase without water, they turn into beautiful dried flowers. I have some, but need fresh ones. They are delicate, so no way to dust them. If I remember, I'll take a photo of my vase of flowers a little later today when I have more time.
