Curiosity for those who sell eggs?

No one wants them if I ask more than $3 here in North Central Florida. My neighbor gets $4 but doesn't sell on the large scale as we do. It is what it is. You will never get rich selling fresh eggs. Break even if you are lucky here in Florida.

It's the same in my county here in Texas. I won't even make feed costs with eggs. Plus the market for farm goods is always volatile.

I sell eggs for $5/dozen, I get about 7 dozen eggs a week. It’s enough to pay for most of the chooks feed.

$3/12 or $4/18 (I have a few diehard customers, lol), it pays for my lady's supplies, feed, oyster shell, pine pellets, etc. Chicks pay for any larger projects. I have ended up in the green every year for the last 2 years. Texas

I'm going to start taking 4 to 6 dozen to work and leave a tip jar on the counter with them.

I've been selling to one neighbor since I started with chickens, charging $5/dozen. I don't try to compete price-wise with mass-produced egg prices. My girls are better treated, better fed, get to free range, etc. and produce higher quality eggs.

I used to. I charged $6 per dozen. I'm in Alaska. I'd probably charge more like 9 now

I've taken them to work before (when I work the scale house) the truck drivers snatch them up. I bet they'll love them!

Texas 5$ a dozen. Also try fermenting food your feed cost will go way down. And try to feed early in the morning and In the evening before they roost.
