Curious about shoulder perching.

I have a mixed flock of birds and recently one of my Dominiques started occasionally flying up to perch on my shoulder.

No warning, just suddenly she is there.

It doesn’t bother me, as she is balanced and will hop off if I nudge her.

I don’t want to start something that will begin to be a habit of the entire flock.

Unless we are training for a reboot of Alfred Hitchcock’s Birds.
Aw, she's adorable! I want her! Both my Doms were male.

My little Blacktail hybrid started out doing this when she first realised she could fly. After I clipped her wing (she had had a little adventure into the neighbours’ garden who have Jack Russell terriers so she’s lucky she didn’t get munched) so yeah after I clipped her she forgot that very quickly BUT she obviously wanted the human attention as she always jumps up on my lap for a cuddle. She has had a couple of moults since then but still hasn’t realised she can fly again.....but I like the knee jumps lol! This is her with me, and keeping my husband company 😂
