Curious pattern on egg

I’m a little curious about this marking on an egg i got about a week or 2 ago. I know the egg is fine but i’m just wondering what causes it? We’ve gotten maybe one with a similar but much less noticeable pattern but other than that they’re all normal. Is the hen okay? Is it something painful? I’m just curious I guess. They all seem fine and they’re still laying.

Ps. it’s not dirt, it’s part of the shell

How long has this chicken been laying? New layer probably just fine tuning the egg factory. LOL Long time layer the paint people in the egg factory might be on strike. As long as the egg isn't rotten it should be ok.

I’m not exactly sure who’s it is but they’ve all been laying since about october/november. thanks for the info i guess i was just worried about a difficult birth lol

oh no, no hatching, we don’t have a rooster. I was talking about when the hen laid it haha

Confused a little here. You were concern that she might have difficulty laying that egg. Is that what you mean?

Ok now we are on the same page. LOL. I had to rename one of my birds from Laverne( yes her sister is Shirley) to Wonky. She laid an egg that measured 4 FOUR inches long. I couldn't believe it. These birds like to fake us out don't they. Nice looking egg though
