Curious, pullets or roos?

Here is the most beautiful, I believe, cockerel. But he is not getting wattles or his comb turning pink yes. IF it's a pullet it will stay. If a cockerel, I will try to find him a home that won't eat him.

Your cockerel is the one with the bright red rose comb.
Usually, boys with black and white patterns quite like yours get red patches on their "shoulders" of their wing. That usually shows up around 10-12 weeks old.
Thank you! Is there still a fighting chance that the one without a red comb and pronounced wattles a pullet? And I was assuming it may be a little early to see the feather patterns. They are 6 weeks and 5 days.

They don't get male-specific feathering till about 12 weeks. So there might be a small chance, but comb and wattles usually tell the tale right about now.

And just for good measure here's my son's favorite. I hope my picture taking is getting better!! Lol

I am absolutely in awe over how good of a mom she has been. And seeing her with 12 six+ week old chicks under her and weaved within her feathers just melts my heart ❤❤ I have loved this experience! I've definitely learned a lot too. I think I will try this again, just maybe not as many eggs/chicks. I hear that some hens are just broody and continue to be so maybe she will enjoy being a mama hen instead of an egg layer?
Awesome 👏🏾
It’s true some are more prone to be broody
Here are her two babies

I think the left one is the cockerel for sure. Leaning pullet on the right one.
You have a boy and a girl
The one on the left it’s the cockerel and the one on the right it’s a pullet
That is the ONE (on the right) chick I have just loved from the time they hatched!! I have been hoping and hoping for a pullet since day 1! It's a super successful hatch (for me!) if she is. Too bad for hubs and son though, right?? 😜 Hahahaha!

Any thoughts on the spotted and gray with mohawk chicks?
