I hunt...Bowhunt, actually, but with college, work, and being sick I didn't get out this year. *sigh* But what I really look forward to is turkey season this spring. I live and breathe turkey hunting.

DB bowhunts also, and got a 10 and a 12 point this year, the 12 scored 165 I believe, so he did pretty well.

My hubby and I both hunt. We put 4 deer in the freezer this year, one in a friend's freezer and processed one for my daughter. We mostly eat what we harvest (gardening, hunting and fishing). We now process our own. When we took them in, thankfully, we had a very honest processor. We always received back the amount we expected to get out of any deer we took to him.

I used to deer and turkey hunt.
Now I live on a busy street where deer are hit by cars occasionally. Then you can get a permit to posess it from the DNR. It just takes a phonecall and the permit says 'Urban Violent Death'.
Shortly after we moved in a big doe walked up to my back porch and died. How convenient.
The next had 3 broken legs and the police shot it. (in the heart, what a waste) The next got hung up trying to jump the water treatment plant fence at the bottom of the hill - police shot it too.
They all ended up in my freezer and I butchered myself.
I can't wait for the next road kill.

Got two deer this year one with my .243 and one with my .357 sixgun.
I butcher myself, have it down to a science. Skin, cut and wrap about an hour a deer.
