If a person who I don't know follows me I'll try to chat with them (going on their profile and thanking for the follow) to see if they're nice, then decide. If someone I know/like follows me, I'll follow them back

Yes! I used to do this but now I don't anymore. I only really follow anyone if they are worth following and if they are my friends.
