[Chickens by Grandma]

Live close to Lake Michigan. Love chickens and grew up working on Grandfathers turkey farm. Seeking to learn of viability of setting up organic egg operation in snow country. Have only raised chickens for meat but never for eggs. Can organic eggs be produced in Michigan due to inability to winter pasture?
I’ll be starting from scratch so will need lots of advice. Happy to join the backyard clan!

Welcome. I'm afraid I can't tell you what you need to know, (I live in California) but I can tell you.. Lake Michigan, Chickens cannot water ski.
