Hi again!

This is my Cuckoo Maran...Guiness...about 2 1/2 weeks old. The one foot has 2 curled toes. Guinessgets around fine, should I do anything to try and fix this? is it too late? what are you thoughts?

! Pleased you joined us! My rooster has the same thing going on with one his toes - was that way ever since he was a chick. Doesn't seem to bother his ability to get around and isn't causing him any pain so I don't worry about it. Good luck to you!

It could be genetic but I've had that happen to adult birds... Think it's a few slipped tendons out of place, since they were fine before. It doesn't seem to be painful or a problem, but trying to fix it could be. I've tried in vain, with endless splinting, to get a chooks' main leg tendon back into place... Gave up, the tendon would go back but not stay when unsplinted, he grew up with a leg sticking out to the side. :S

It is likely too late to correct, and seems unlikely to cause him any problems.
