Curled toes?

It's usually a good idea to check/change them every one to three days. You have to monitor growth (since they grow so fast) so there is no binding, loss of circulation, irritation or abrasion, or that the toes have not slipped into a wrong position. Here is some more info, scroll down to 'chick shoes for twisted or curled toes' and below that is 'toe taping'.

T day and a half but today he is not standin on his right foot and it is sort of red (sorry accidentally sent it). Should I take off the boot? I also don't want to hurt him though...

Thanks for the reply, and I have taken off his boot but his leg is still sort of swollen. He can walk on it now. I think he will be alright, I will let you know if it gets worse. :)

The boot may have been too tight, why it's really important to keep a close eye on it when they are growing so fast, it can be fine and then too tight from growth. Something as small as a hair wrapped around a toe can cut off circulation. Hope it recovers. A warm soak in epsom salts may help with swelling.

Thanks for the tip.
