I got a chick yesterday and it has 2 toes that are badly curled. I was wondering if the age affects the ability to correct the problem. I think its around 2 weeks old.

Thats a great picture! I was trying to figure out what exactly needed to be done. Im worried thought that at 2 weeks old, it might be permanent.

This is really good to know. My oldest bunch of Black Australorp girls seem to have this problem. Is it too late to correct this at 5 weeks? If so, will it affect their well-being as happy adults?

I would tape everyone who had it. Worth a shot. Perhaps with the older ones, it may take a little longer. I would also order the Avian Super pack for them. Good luck!

I'm wondering if this has something to do with the Australorps. As two of my Lorp girls are the ones that have this issue also. I have 11 Buff Orphington chicks, 5 Welsummer chicks, and a total of 11 Black Australorp chicks.
