Curled toes...

I know this is an older thread, but I've just ordered my second flock with Jersey Giants and one in my first flock had curled toes. I researched it at the time, but didn't do anything for her since she seemed fine and still got around very well. She's a year old and doesn't leave the barn as often as the other girls but she can hold her own just fine. She gimps about but eats, drinks, lays pretty eggs and free ranges with the girls at her own pace =) So when I got the second batch and noticed a chick with a curled toe I made 5 sandal splints and thought through multiple concepts and 1 1/2 hours later *PHEW*

I got her extremely wiggly and strong willed self into the last sandal splint and she was off and running like a champ. She's 2 days old and I DREAD the thought that I may have to do it again before the toes are permanently set..... but here is a picture of our victory =)
