I live in Sydney suburbia. Our 6 girls are being swooped and chased back into the coop by a couple of currawongs when they are let out to free range. Our girls are 18months old. Any suggestions? We put a plastic owl with a spinning head on the hills hoist but that hasnt worked? The girls use to love coming out to scratch around now they just hide under the mulberry tree.

legal to shoot them? we got magpies... some good and chase the hawks away and don't bother the chooks... some are pests, these we shot and let the next family move in.
