That's what we use. Quite a few free channels, we have netflix and hulu plus so we don't use the free channels. You tube is a lot better on a TV. You can link you tube on your phone to your roku and search vids quicker easier. There is also a roku app to use your phone as a remote when your kids 'lose' the remote. Works great even with my cheap crappy phone. I used it to mess with the kids while they were watching until they caught on

No cable out here, to far from town. Roku works through our wifi, dsl through landline phone. Cable costs to much here anyways
