Not current but these movies came in the mail this morning...

First three movies are awesome! (I've never seen the third one) I love Willow! So many funny scenes--love the Brownies! I don't think I've seen a good fantasy movie in awhile.

I have to hook my DVD player up but I think I will so I can watch Princess Bride tonight.

I could review them all now but that would be nostalgia talking. I did post trailers for all 4 in the random pictures thread today for the younger ones that don't know what these movies are.

"Dallas Buyers' Club" -crude, harsh, raw, compelling - am I allowed to give out five stars? Matthew McConaughey as Ron Woodruff an HIV positive cowboy and Jared Leto as a similarly infected transvestite are awesome in their performances. Can we say 'Oscar Nominations'? If you see this movie keep in mind that it is based on a real story.

Thank you Sour, I am dying to see that movie. Yes, 5 stars coming from you is totally acceptable. I've had too many friends, straight and not, die from Aids- at too young an age.

The Croods---highly imaginative, fun, shows the importance of accepting new things and family. Really cute. It follows a family of six cave people as they battle the harsh and ever changing environment, dodging rock slides, finding food and avoiding predators. The father wishes to keep the family locked up in a cave for safety, but the oldest daughter is dying to get out and explore the world. Really nice movie. I guess I'd give it 4 stars.
