Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

I'm watching A Streetcar Named Desire, for the first time. 55 minutes in. I do not like Blanche. Blanche is a *****.

I had a crazy spell and went to see "Suicide Squad," I enjoyed it and my brain loved the 2 hours it could just go blank. The characters, plot, etc are no where up to Marvel but, I thought for DC it was a very good effort. The leads where very good especially Margot, who I loved. She dominated any scene she was in. But Jared Leto was only involved a bit in the beginning and then seemed to just vanish until nearly the end. Don't know why, unless they want to give Will Smith a boost. Was told most of Jared's scenes where cut - Why???? Really like Jared so this was a big disappointment. The lessor part people weren't given much to do - they could have phoned in their scenes.

I give it 3 stars and I know a sequel is in the works.

"STELLA!!!!!" I remember that theme was used to advertise "PELLA" windows - great commercial. Actually I never cared for Marlon Brando
Yeah. I honestly hadn't paid much attention to him. Only ever saw him in much later stuff before he died, and of course The Godfather. Then I watched On The Waterfront and Streetcar, and quickly realized why my mom and aunts used to seem all swoony when he was mentioned in any conversations about older films. Still not sure how I feel about him but I definitely had no problem watching him. Lol
I think I still like Paul Newman better. Maybe.

Finally got to see "Jason Bourne," despite lack luster reviews, I thought it was every bit as good - if not better than the previous installments. I have seen all the movies, including the one with Jeremy Renner - when Matt Damon sat it out. I rate it 3.5 stars. My brother refused to see it - his mistake.

Do you need to remember what happened in the earlier movies, or is it a "standalone" story? I almost went to see it yesterday, but thought I'd better watch the earlier movies again before I did. Do I need to? (does it have spoilers to the Jeremy Renner one, which I haven't watched yet?)

I don't think you need to see the others - I saw them but, my memory has basically flown the coop. I know, at the time, they have all left me breathless with the car chases, and evading / out fighting various thugs sent to kill. Bourne did NOT let me down after all the years of his absence. No spoilers to Jeremy Renner episode.
