Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Watched the trailers for a Wonder Woman, Justice League 1, and Dr. Strange. They all look great.
DC is really stretching it though, with WW. She's basically the female captain America  Oh well.

Oh no, you reminded me of the woman in black. My sister couldn't sleep for days after seeing that film

Luckily I have only seen part of it. I'm too much of a wuss to watch 10CL.
Never heard of that movie, but it sounds creepy

Got to sneak away today to a 2nd.run theatre and saw "BFG" (Big friendly giant). I was the token old person surrounded by young moms and lots of young children. Think a lot of it went over their heads or else they were scared silent. The bad guys were child eating Giants - that made BFG look like a midget. Well behaved kids but, no laughing. On the other hand, I enjoyed the movie immensely. I am so glad I got to see it. I give it 4 stars

Good to know.

TV shows still OK here I hope?
Never was much into Netflix TV shows, watched a super dumb western on a couple yrs ago, was funny but didn't 'draw me in' don't remember the name, just was dumb, turned me off from trying another.
DW turned one on earlier, said she heard Sam Elliot was in it (Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson from 'That 70's Show plays his sons) DW said Sam Elliot has never played or acted on anything that had a 'set' not outdoors real she heard, wanted to watch it. Called 'The Ranch'.
OMG! Super funny, and serious, great acting, BOMB script and comments, reminds me a little of Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing' as far as the political humor. Well scripted, no joke, was thinking WOW! would've been a hit on regular TV!
BUT...swearing, not a biggie for us, super funny real to life swearing, part way into it DW shut it off, wasn't sure how far the MA rating was going to take a (sex) scene....had to get the kids to bed before we watched the rest, wasn't as bad as it looked it was going, but not little kid appropriate IMHO.
I'd say one of the best drama kinda comedies I've seen in a long time, super good, can't wait to see the rest of the season. Looked it up, must have been good ratings, Netflix has approved it for a second season.

Saw "Captain Fantastic," yesterday not a super hero, just a guy(Viggo Mortensen) living off the grid and home schooling his kids. Read great reviews but didn't translate into much of an audience. My brother and I , and one lone man were the only ones viewing it. I liked it very much, quirky but heartfelt and give it 3 stars. My brother didn't like it at all.

Just saw Batman Vs. Superman and it was fantastic. It's my favorite superhero movie by far and I loved some of the character details they included. Thumbs up!
