Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Thank you Potato Chip, so glad there are fresh, younger minds to bail me out.

Blade Runner does sound good. I never saw the first one but, my son did. Why did they have to make it so long? No potty breaks or anything.

Look it up first on the internet, you mean :D

Yes, the longer movies could really use the "intermission" they used to have. I am constantly thirsty, so I guzzle a lot of liquid during the movie. It can get quite "leg-crossing" towards the end.

The cinema I go to is a huge complex and the toilets are some distance from the cinemas (depending on which one you're in). If you needed to pop out, you'd miss quite a lot of the movie....

They should offer "wee checks" for those who can't sit through the whole thing in one go.

(I went to see those Kill Bill movies recently. They were originally supposed to be just one movie, but the director thought it was way too long, so made 2 movies instead. It would be good if they could consider the audiences and build in a break. Like in Gone with the wind leading into the intermission. )

OH, I loved Kill Bill 1 & 2 especially the ending. Uma was fantastic! I have watched reruns of it many times, just like the Matrix stuff, I can see it over and over and still enjoy it.

Believe it or not, I'd never seen them before (BTW loved them, good movies). They've been showing some "old" movies at the cinema over the last month or so, I've been to several of them. I don't know why they don't show "classics" at the cinema all the time, it's great to get a chance/second chance to see a good movie on the big screen.

OOOH by accident I read an article about "Blade Runner 2049." It was allegedly about the directors skill and such and such and I got involved with it. ACK, when I finished I realized it had given me all the spoilers in the movie. I have the burden of all this knowledge and a BIG mouth that I will have to keep shut. :duc Luckily for me I have the power to forget everything I read, so it won't ruin the movie for me. But "the mouth," still knows.

Saw "The Mountain Between Us," this morning. My brother gave it 3stars out of 4. I give it 3.5 and the dog(beautiful yellow Lab) gets 4 stars. Great to see a movie with a dog that doesn't get killed. Okay so that's the only spoiler I am giving out.

Kate Winslet seemed like a cold fish to me but, I think that is how she was supposed to play it. Idris just had to show up to be over the top sexy, he especially looks good in a regular blue shirt, instead of his coat and scarf & stuff. Looked like the same coat "Luther," wore on Netflix.

Movie didn't get the greatest reviews but, the morning show had more people than usual.
I just read it was no. 2 for the weekend.

Surprised tonight to hear that "Blade Runner 2049" didn't do well. No. 1 for the weekend but, no where near the $$$ they expected. It cost big bucks to make. Comment was that older guys came to see it but the younger ones did not. I still want to see it but, I bet in a couple weeks they ticket prices will be cheaper.

My son said he will wait till Blade Runner ends up in the $ 5. Walmart movie bin.

It seems a bit inappropriate focussing on his dishiness when he's fighting for his life on a mountain :D

Even the (presumably) young blokes on another site are complaining about the length of the movie. It's not just us. I'm quite put off by the length, I just know that a jumbo coke and 3 hours are not going to play nice.
