Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

The only Movie I've ever liked him in was Top Gun. And that was because it's freaking Top Gun, not because he was in it.

I think this is all I've seen:
Jerry McGuire (hated it)
Interview with a Vampire (loved it)
Tropic thunder (loved it)
War of the worlds (hated it)
Rainman (loved it)
A Few Good Men (hated it; but I don't like war movies and the hubby made me watch it anyway)

That's about it. And in the ones I loved he was not a main character. He's been in some good films but not as a main cast member. I loved the other actors. He's just not an actor that I care for and I don't really like action movies unless there's a comedic element. I've had to sit through my fair share but it wasn't without an inexplicable sigh when the character says something cliche. I feel they lack substance in the place of explosions and gore.

Risky Business?

I was too young when that came out to have seen it. I've seen references in pop culture so I know the iconic scene with the underwear and the dancing but I have no context. I've never seen the film even now as an adult.

LOL. Risky Business... I had a classmate in high school who did that exact same thing (with decidedly better results) long before the film came out. He was such a sleaze that you could almost see the greasy oil dripping off of him. Thanks for the flashback!

I watched it on Netflix, it's really good I enjoyed it.

Spaceballs - may the Schwartz be with you
Naked Gun (any of them) - 33 1/2 is my fav
Airplane! - seen but hard pass. I do speak jive though
Herbie (any of them) - never heard of it
Galaxy Quest - same
Mars Attacks (either the original or the beautiful reboot)- original. Seen but found scary
