Thats a lot of he said she said. Either way the songs were great. But a lot of them were "appropriated" from Jackie Wilson. By appropriate I mean he stole the arrangements and vocal phrasing. I've seen artists sued for far less. That wasn't necessarily his fault but that of his agent. In truth he wasn't the only one that did that. Just look at Berry Goudy. He stole a LOT of songs from his fellow black artists. It wasn't necessarily stealing because he paid them but he paid them for pennies on the dollar. I'm glad that black musicians are finally able to thrive in our society but Elvis's world was a far different world than now. And I think it's odd that we're just now having a biopic on him when so many that were alive then that knew the world are no longer with usMike Stoller who in conjunction with Jerry Leiber wrote "Hound Dog" for Big Mama Thornton says that in reality that is not true.
